Lutte Internationale (International Wrestling or IWA) was a professional wrestling promotion, based in Montreal from 1980 to 1987. The promotion was founded by Frank Valois, André the Giant, and Gino Brito under the name Promotions Varoussac. The promotion was subsequently acquired by Dino Bravo, Gino Brito and Rick Martel. Lutte Internationale succeeded All-Star Wrestling and Grand Prix Wrestling as the top wrestling promotion in Quebec for most of the 1980s.
In the mid 1980s numerous professional wrestlers moved from Lutte Internationale to the WWF – including Dino Bravo, Rick Martel, Tom Zenk, Ronnie Garvin, and the Rougeau brothers – leading to the closure of the promotion in 1987.
