Tom Zenk on WCW TV

Tom Zenk joined NWA/WCW in August 1989 and began appearing on WCW TV around September of that year. He disappeared from TV screens for long periods, depending on the whims of bookers, before finally leaving WCW in 1994.

WCW Saturday Night premiered on November 23, 1991 as the showcase for the company's top talent. It grew out of two previous wrestling programs on TBS - Georgia Championship Wrestling, which began on the station (then known as WTCG-TV) in January 1972 and ran under that name until August 1982, when it became World Championship Wrestling. In addition, there was also a Sunday edition of World Championship Wrestling; however, in later years, Sunday editions became infrequent. In spring 1988, TBS replaced the Sunday edition with a new Sunday wrestling show called NWA Main Event. In all of its iterations, WCW Saturday Night would normally air for two hours.

WCW Main Event was a televised wrestling program of World Championship Wrestling that aired from 1988 to 1998. For most of its run, it was the promotion's secondary show and aired on Sunday evenings on TBS.The format for WCW Main Event kept one match that was regarded as "main event caliber" and would almost always feature one of WCW's top stars. Often, two or more matches would be featured.

WCW Power Hour was the original Friday night wrestling show for World Championship Wrestling, airing on TBS. Unlike most television (and wrestling) shows that started their program either at the top or bottom of the hour, WCW Power Hour aired 10 minutes before the bottom of the hour at 10:20 p.m. Later when it was moved to Saturday mornings, it adopted a more traditional television time slot. The final, and 301st episode of WCW Power Hour (previously NWA Power Hour) aired on March 12, 1994.

WCW Pro started off as Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, one of two official weekly syndicated wrestling programs presented by Jim Crockett Promotions (the other was World Wide Wrestling, which in its final form was named WCW WorldWide). After the merger of JCP and Georgia Championship Wrestling in 1985, the show was renamed NWA Pro Wrestling. It was later renamed WCW Pro Wrestling sometime after Ted Turner bought JCP in 1988. Around 1994, the show was removed from syndication and added to TBS on Saturday mornings in place of WCW's ill-fated WCW Power Hour.
